 Travel to Kimolos!Though only a small segment of the Cycladic Islands, similar in size to Anafi, Kimolos more than holds its own when it comes to island beauty. In fact, it's natural beauty is enhanced by the white stratified cliffs and rocks near certain beaches giving these areas a chalk-like appearance (in Greek, the name Kimolos means chalk).From the small port of Psathi, you can make your way up to Chora, the main village of the island, and only about one kilometer from the port. In Chora, you'll find some small shops, a few tavernas, a local museum, and plenty of lovely Cycladic-style houses with winding lanes. The tourist infrastructure on the island is adequate for those interested in a quiet, laidback type of holiday.There are several very nice beaches on the island, as well as many sea caves.
